We were recently awarded the contract at Grosvenor Casino Huddersfield to carry out a minor refurbishment to give the venue a modern look. Acting as principle contractor we undertook the electrical, joinery fit out and decorating along with managing the clients direct contractors covering the gaming machine move, flooring, data, CCTV and audio visual installations.
Although the contract period was only 4 weeks, it was handed over early inclusive of some additional works that were required. Our particular favourite part is the bar area – this was originally cherry coloured Formica that, well to be quite frank, looked really dated.
BEFORE
We stripped the Formica back to the sub frame and cladded the areas in oak then a black satin stain to finish. The front was encased then platinum sparkle wall covering was added. A rolled steel channel was formed to retain a colour 3000k continuous LED to highlight the glitter of the finish. We think the photographs speak for themselves.
