Anglo Building Services were awarded the electrical design and installation of this really interesting project. The brief was to transform a 160 year old disused pub, which had been closed for over five years, into a stunning, modern, gold and diamond store.

The project had its challenges along the way as any 160 year old building would. Working alongside the main contractor, architect and designer – any issues that were thrown at the site team were overcome. The lighting is high performance low glare with a CRI of >=90Ra to give true colour rendering of the products on display. The background and display lighting are all provided by TechLED utilising their “Acolyte” 3000k LED tape.
All back of house lighting are LED modular panels with micro prismatic layers to provide a UGR lower than 19. We worked in with the display cabinet manufacturers to provide wireways and driver location points for the LED cabinet lighting, this was installed in to aluminium extrusions with opaque diffusion.
The power requirements were varied from general power to office to floor boxes and surface installations within the garage areas. A fully addressable fire alarm system was installed. We think you might agree that the externals look stunning!
